Deputy Mayor of Gdynia for Economy
Deputy Mayor of Gdynia for Economy (since 2014). Legal advisor, law graduate from the University of Gdańsk, The School of American Law (UG / Chicago-Kent College of Law) and Leadership Academy for Poland. Responsible for the city development strategy, spatial planning, ownership supervision and economic policy. Supervises public transport, Pomeranian Science and Technology Park and the Experyment Science Center. Co-chairman of the Economic and Social Committee of the Gdańsk-Gdynia-Sopot Metropolitan Area. Member of the Urban Land Institute and the Task Force of the Committee for Spatial Economy and Regional Planning, Polish Academy of Sciences. Initiator of the creation of the European Waterfront Cities Network, currently ULI Europe Waterfront Cities Product Council associating, amongst others, Amsterdam, Liverpool, Lisbon, Tallinn and Gdynia. Honored with the title of Business Tiger for special impact on the development of foreign BPO and SSC investments in Poland and distinction from ABSL for the development and support of the modern business services sector. In 2020, she was the only Polish woman to date to receive The Innovation In Politics award in the Economy category for a business consulting project for entrepreneurs. She has won Gdynia the title of “Polish City of the Future” in the FDI Magazine ranking (Financial Times group) three times and this year 2nd place in „FDI Strategy – Rising Cities” category in the ‘FDI Global Cities of the Future 2021/2022’ ranking.
